The Role

Precepts Trustee Limited acts as trustee for families across Singapore and the region. As an Associate in the trust team you will support the full life of a trust — onboarding and due diligence, structuring conversations with estate planners, and the administration, distributions and record-keeping that follow for years afterwards. You will be trained against a structured six-month competency framework and supervised throughout by a Trust Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the establishment of new trusts, from onboarding and CDD/KYC through to execution of the trust deed.
  • Explain the features and suitability of different trust structures to clients and estate planners, under supervision.
  • Collaborate with clients, estate planners, introducers and Will drafters so that Will, LPA and trust documents work together as a single plan.
  • Coordinate the transfer of funds and assets into trust with banks, custodians and other counterparties.
  • Liaise with clients and beneficiaries to collect due diligence documents and arrange signings.
  • Support ongoing trust administration, including trustee resolutions, distributions and loan arrangements.
  • Maintain trust records, ledgers and audit trails to MAS and internal documentation standards.
  • Contribute to internal and estate-planner-facing training and sharing sessions on the trust proposition.

What You Will Need

Essential

  • Diploma or above.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
  • Ability to converse in Mandarin, in order to serve Mandarin-speaking clients and their families.
  • Meticulous, with visible pride in the accuracy of your work.
  • Discretion in handling confidential client and family information.
  • Composure and professionalism when conversations become difficult.

Advantageous

  • Prior client-facing experience.
  • Background in financial services, estate planning, legal, corporate services or accounting.
  • Existing or in-progress STEP or AEPP® qualification.

How You Work

  • Meticulous and process-disciplined — trusts run for decades on the records you keep.
  • Able to identify the appropriate option for a client rather than the easiest one.
  • Comfortable holding a position politely under pressure.
  • Collaborative across estate planning, compliance and operations.

What We Offer

  • A structured six-month competency framework with defined monthly milestones and assessment.
  • Sponsored certifications pathway: STEP (Affiliate level), AEPP® or other trust qualifications.
  • Internal exposure to PTL Board meetings, PTL Operations meetings, and audit or compliance reviews.
  • Mentorship from an assigned Senior Trust Manager.
  • Medical and dental benefits upon confirmation.
  • Annual salary review and performance-based bonus.

Work Arrangements

  • On-site at Tanjong Pagar.
  • 5-day work week.
  • Training provided.
