How to Apply
Send your CV to hr@preceptsgroup.com with the subject line “Application: Associate, Estate Administration”.
We review applications as they arrive and will be in touch if your experience fits what we are looking for.
PreceptsGroup is an equal opportunity employer. We select on merit, skills and experience.
The Role
When a client dies, the plan has to be carried out. The estate administration team handles probate and estate matters from application through to distribution — the documents, the institutions, the beneficiaries and the timelines. As an Associate you will run assigned files, keep them moving, and be the point of contact for families at a difficult moment in their lives.
You do not need estate administration experience to apply. You do need to be the kind of person who works from a checklist and finishes it, and who can be relied on to follow up when nobody is chasing you.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the administration of estate and probate matters from application through to distribution.
- Prepare and maintain estate administration documents, forms and checklists.
- Track the progress of assigned files and keep case records complete and current.
- Liaise with beneficiaries, lawyers, financial institutions, government agencies and the courts.
- Handle correspondence, follow-ups and status updates, so that no file is left waiting on us.
- Keep records properly filed, confidential and up to date.
- Escalate delays, disputes or red flags to senior staff early.
- Support senior staff on wider estate administration tasks.
What You Will Need
Essential
- Diploma or above in Business Administration, Legal Studies, Business or a related discipline.
- Strong organisational and administrative discipline — you work from checklists and you finish them.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to handle sensitive information, and bereaved families, with professionalism and care.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Able to carry multiple files at once and follow up independently.
Advantageous
- Relevant working experience in estate, probate, legal or administrative roles.
- A degree in a related discipline.
- Ability to converse in Mandarin, Malay, Tamil or a Chinese dialect, in order to communicate with beneficiaries who are not fluent in English.
How You Work
- Systematic — nothing falls through a gap on your watch.
- Calm and considerate in contact with grieving families.
- Willing to learn estate administration processes from the ground up.
- Comfortable chasing third parties politely and persistently.
What We Offer
- Structured training for up to 3 months, followed by a six-month development plan.
- Progression to independent file handling within six months, with a formal competency review.
- Sponsored pathway towards AEPP® certification through Precepts Academy.
- Medical and dental benefits upon confirmation.
- 13th month AWS, annual salary review and performance-based bonus.
- Annual leave that increases with length of service.
- Ongoing training and development opportunities.
Work Arrangements
- Office-based, 5-day work week, Monday to Friday.
- Hybrid arrangement available after the probation period, subject to operational needs and performance.
